The Stirrup Cup

Inspired by the traditional “stirrup cup” — the farewell drink once shared before riders departed on horseback — this handcrafted serving piece blends equestrian heritage with modern entertaining.

Crafted from richly figured red cedar end grain arranged in an organic mosaic pattern, each section reveals the natural rings, texture, and warmth of the wood. Dark epoxy resin winds throughout the design, binding the many individual pieces together into a composition that feels both rugged and refined.

Polished cast-metal stirrup handles frame the tray while four recessed drink holders securely cradle the included double old fashioned glasses, making the piece equally suited for cocktails, bourbon, wine, or quiet evenings gathered with friends.

At 18.25” long, 11.25” wide, and 1.5” thick, Stirrup Cup is designed to feel substantial, functional, and entirely one of a kind. The underside features CraftMark Wood Studio’s signature embedded medallion — a subtle maker’s mark routed directly into the piece itself.

Finished in clear matte Osmo Polyx Oil to preserve and highlight the cedar’s natural depth and character.
